ASME SA588 Gr B HSLA steel specification

ASME SA588 Grade B(SA588 Gr B) is a high-strength low-alloy structural (HSLA) steel in various shapes: plates, sheets, round bars and steel sections. This plate has a specified minimum yield strengths of 50ksi [345MPa] when plate thickness under 100mm. For application, ASME SA588 Gr B HSLA plate and sheet in most environments are substantially better than that of ordinary carbon structural steels. When properly exposed to the atmosphere, this steel can be used unpainted for many applications.
