The main applications of normalizing are as follows:① For low carbon steel, ASTM A588 carbon steel plate sheet. The hardness of low carbon steel after normalizing is slightly higher than that after annealing, and the toughness is also better, so normalizing can be used as the pretreatment of cutting.② For medium carbon steel, normalizing can be used as the final heat treatment instead of quenching and tempering treatment, or as the preparation treatment before surface quenching by induction heating.③ Normalizing can be used in tool steel, bearing steel, carburizing steel and so on, which can eliminate or inhibit the formation of network carbide, thus obtaining the good microstructure needed for spheroidizing annealing.④ Normalizing can refine the cast structure and improve the machinability of steel castings.

In the year of 2015, customer from Peru oil refinery contact with us from Internet. After one month’s negotiation and quotation, they chose us as there supplier of raw steel plate ASTM A588 carbon steel plate sheet grade ASTM A36. We get an trail order of 300 tons in April. When the first ship arrived, they inspect the steel plate and very happy with the quality we supply. Then they put another 1700 tons order, we sent to them within 90 days. Our company management group visit the customer in the beginning of 2016 and the visit is very successful.

ASTM A588 carbon steel plate sheet, 27SiMn material has high strength and wear resistance, high hardenability, medium plasticity during cold deformation, good machinability and fair weldability. It is mostly used after quenching and tempering, and can also be used in normalizing or hot rolling state. 27SiMn material chemical elements: C: 0.24-0.32, Si: 1.10-1.40, Mn: 1.10-1.40. 27SiMn material mechanical properties: tensile strength 980 MPa; yield strength: 835 MPa; elongation after fracture: 12%; impact energy: 39J. 27SiMn material can be used to make hot stamping parts with high toughness and high wear resistance, which do not need heat treatment or normalizing, such as tractor track pins.
