The spot price of hot rolling steel rose on August 18, with a large overall increase. The average price of major cities in China is 3624 yuan / ton, up 95 yuan from last Friday. Shanghai 3520-3540 yuan / ton increased by 70 yuan, Tianjin 3600-3620 yuan / ton increased by 150 yuan, and Lecong 3650-3660 yuan / ton increased by 150 yuan. Central and southern China, North China and Northeast China rose by 90-150 yuan, while Western China rose by 30-60 yuan. The rise in spot EN steel grade S275JR plates prices led to a significant increase in transactions across the region. Hot rolled futures remained at a high level after opening up and closed at 3440, up 75 2.23%.
