Both 14Cr1MoR pressure vessel steel and 15CrMoR pressure vessel steel belong to Cr-Mo hydrogen resistant steel, and they are special steel in strict sense. JIS SM400B plates, Cr-Mo hydrogen resistant steel is suitable for petrochemical, nuclear power, steam turbine cylinder block, thermal power and other large-scale equipment with high temperature and high pressure and connected with hydrogen or hydrogen mixed medium. Moreover, 15CrMoR pressure vessel steel has high endurance strength below 550 °C.
TMCP process is an indispensable technology for our production of low alloy high strength wide and JIS SM400B plates thick steel plates. TMCP process can produce steel with high strength and toughness without adding too many alloy elements and complex subsequent heat treatment. TMCP is a process that can save alloy JIS SM400B plates and energy and is beneficial to environmental protection. A lot of our shipbuilding steel plates are produced by TMCP process.
JIS SM400B plates, ASTM A131 shipbuilding steel has different grade levels. The ordinary strength shipbuilding steel grades are grade A/B/D/E. Their min. yield strength is 235 Mpa, and tensile strength is 400-520 Mpa. The higher strength shipbuilding steel grades are grade AH32/DH32/EH32/FH32, AH36/DH36/EH36/FH36 AH40/DH40/EH40/FH40. The min. yield strength of AH32/DH32/EH32/FH32 steel is 315 Mpa, and tensile strength is 440-590 Mpa. The min. yield strength of AH36/DH36/EH36/FH36 steel is 355 Mpa, and tensile strength is 490-620 Mpa. The min. yield strength of AH40/DH40/EH40/FH40 steel is 390 Mpa, and tensile strength is 510-650 Mpa.
