45# steel is a common medium carbon quenched and tempered structural steel. The cold plasticity of 45# steel is general. Annealing and normalizing are slightly better than SA514 grade E steel material quenching and tempering. 45# steel has higher strength and better machinability. After proper heat treatment, 45# steel can obtain certain toughness, plasticity and wear resistance. 45# steel is suitable for hydrogen welding and argon arc welding, not suitable for gas welding.
