Indonesia's largest plain carbon steel project has been put into operation successfully

On March 29, the No. 1 blast furnace of the 3.5 million ton steel project of Dexin in Indonesia was put into production successfully. The project is jointly built by Qingshan iron and Steel Group, Delong holding and Indonesia's morowali Industrial Park Company. It is the largest ordinary carbon steel project in Indonesia.

One belt, one road project, is the 3 million 500 thousand - ton steel project in Indonesia. It is a key supporting project of the Ministry of Commerce. The project scale is "3.5 million tons + 1.5 million tons reserved", integrating coking, sintering, iron making, steel making and steel rolling. The production of No.1 blast furnace marks that the project has made great progress. The whole plant has been put into production successively from July to September 2019. In a few days, the steel-making and continuous casting parts of production line 1 will also be put into production.

The completion of the project will fill the gap of the whole process steel project in Indonesia, become a benchmark enterprise in the steel industry in Indonesia, and guide the standardized development of the steel market in Indonesia. At the same time, it will promote the employment of 1800 domestic technical workers and 4000 Indonesian employees, and provide more than 6000 jobs for the upstream, middle and downstream industries.
