JIS SS400 platesweldability

Our quality control department will do inspection for details of the steel materials JIS SS400 plates before delivery. We would invite the customer side to attend the inspection together. If they can not come, we will also take rich pictures for them to check. Meanwhile, we will publish inspection report and send them the PDF version. Besides, we accept any third party inspection such as SGS, BV, etc. And our quality control department will support the third party to inspect the steel materials smoothly and try our best to deliver the qualified steel materials to customers earlier.

S235JR is a European standard non alloy structural steel, equivalent to the national standard Q235B, i.e. S235JR steel is carbon structural steel with low carbon content. S235JR steel is widely used in welding, bolt connection and riveting structures. S235JR steel is mainly used in railway, bridge, all kinds of construction engineering, manufacturing all kinds of metal components bearing static load and unimportant mechanical parts and JIS SS400 plates general weldments that do not need heat treatment.

Grades JIS SS400 plates, Q345 (16Mn) and Q390 steel have good comprehensive mechanical properties, good welding performance, cold and hot workability and corrosion resistance. C, D, E grade steel has good low temperature toughness. Mainly used for ships, boilers, pressure vessels, petroleum storage tanks, bridges, power station equipment, lifting and transportation machinery and other higher-load welding structural parts.
