Tata Steel Europe plans to cut 1250 jobs. Henrik Adam, CEO of Tata Steel, said: "the financial situation of Tata Steel Europe is very serious at present, and there is an urgent need to improve the company's performance and financial situation." Tata Steel has decided SA514 Gr B steel material in November 2019 to cut 3000 jobs in its European operations to reduce costs. After a period of negotiations with the European labour Commission, the layoff plan cut that number by more than half, minimizing unemployment. Tata Steel has about 20000 employees in Europe.

On November 25, the price of the SA514 Gr B steel material medium board in the Yinchuan market remained stable temporarily, and the market transactions were average. As of press time, Yinchuan market 16-25mm general medium plate is 4020 yuan/ton; 14-25mm low alloy medium plate is 4170 yuan/ton. The price of plate in Yinchuan market continued to stabilize without much change. However, as the temperature dropped sharply and terminal demand in the local market dropped to a low point, plate merchants in the Yinchuan market had difficulty shipping.
