The production process of SM490C carbon steel material

After heat treatment and cold drawing hardening, 65Mn steel has higher strength, certain toughness and plasticity; under the same surface state and complete hardening, the fatigue limit is equivalent to that of alloy springs. However, due to poor hardenability, it is mainly used for springs of SM490C carbon steel material smaller sizes, such as pressure regulating springs, force measuring springs, round and square spiral springs on general machinery or drawn into steel wires as springs on small machinery.

Weathering steel generally adopts the process route of fine material into the furnace-smelting (converter, electric furnace-microalloying treatment-argon blowing-LF refining-low superheat continuous casting (feeding rare earth wire)-controlled rolling and cooling. The scrap steel is added into the furnace together with the charge, and smelted according to the conventional process. After the SM490C carbon steel material steel is tapped, deoxidizers and alloys are added. After the molten steel is treated with argon blowing, the molten steel is cast. By adding rare earth elements to the steel, the SM490C carbon steel material weathering steel is purified and the content of inclusions is greatly reduced.

Yield strength (MPa) of Q345D steel plate: ≤16mm: ≥345; 16-40mm: ≥335; 40-63mm: ≥325; 63-80mm: ≥315; 80-100mm: ≥305; 100-150mm: ≥285; 150-200mm: ≥275; 200-250: ≥275; 250-400: ≥265. Tensile strength of Q345D low alloy steel: 450-630(MPa). Elongation: ≥21. Impact test: -20 ℃: ≥34.
