EN steel grade S355J2 plates steel with 15mm thickness

With the increase of temperature, the yield limit of EN steel grade S355J2 plates will decrease monotonically, but the tensile strength of EN steel grade S355J2 plates will rise to a high peak value at a certain temperature, and then decrease. This peak temperature is called the blue brittleness temperature of EN steel grade S355J2 plates. Near the blue brittleness temperature, the EN steel grade S355J2 plates strength increases and the plasticity decreases. The elongation and section shrinkage of EN steel grade S355J2 plates increase with the increase of temperature, but there is a low peak at the blue brittleness temperature. The blue brittleness temperature of low carbon steel ranges from 200 ℃ to 250 ℃. The blue brittleness of low alloy steel is not obvious as that of low carbon steel, and the blue brittleness temperature is higher.

The carbon content of EN steel grade S355J2 plates, hot rolled steel plate is slightly higher than that of cold rolled steel plate. Hot rolled steel plate has low hardness, easy processing and good ductility. Cold rolled steel plate has high hardness and is difficult to process, but it is not easy to deform and has high strength. The strength of hot-rolled steel plate is relatively low, the surface quality (oxidation finish) is low, but the plasticity is good, and it is generally medium thick plate.
