How to reduce delamination of A514 grade P steel material

The A514 grade P steel material plate products have passed the EU CE certification, and have been recognized by China, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and other eight classification societies for high-strength ship plates. The strengthening mechanisms in metals mainly include solid solution strengthening, dislocation strengthening, fine grain strengthening, and second phase (precipitation and dispersion) strengthening. Alloying elements have the most significant strengthening effect on steel in the quenched and tempered state, because it makes full use of all four strengthening mechanisms. Martensite is formed during quenching, and carbides are precipitated during tempering, resulting in a strong second phase strengthening and greatly improving toughness. Therefore, obtaining martensite and tempering it is the most economical and effective comprehensive strengthening method for A514 grade P steel material.

SPA-C steel with the thickness range is 1.2-150mm, the width range is 1220-4200mm, and the length range is 5000-18000mm. Also note that the A514 grade P steel material, SPA-C steel coil thickness should not exceed 25 mm. SPA-C steel’s mechanical properties is yield strength more than 325 MPa, tensile strength more than 450Mpa.
