Low alloy coils are steel coils made of steel with a low alloy content, usually less than 3.5%. Low alloy coil materials mainly include A572 Gr 50, S355JR, SS490, ST52-3, Q345B, etc.. These grades are also the most widely used and produced low-alloy high-strength steel grades in the world. The strength of low alloy coils is about 20% to 30% higher than that of ordinary carbon structural steel, S275J2 carbon steel plate sheet. And the atmospheric corrosion resistance of low alloy coils is 20% to 38% higher than that of ordinary carbon structural steel.

S275J2 carbon steel plate sheet, Q345D seamless pipe is low-alloy high-strength structural steel. It is named as low-alloy because of a small amount of alloy elements in the steel. Q345D seamless pipe is mainly used for construction and engineering structures. The carbon content of Q345D seamless pipe is ≤ 0.18%. Due to the effect of alloy elements, the yield strength of Q345D seamless pipe is 25% - 150% higher than that of carbon structural steel pipe with the same carbon content. Q345D seamless pipe can reduce the weight of steel structure, save steel products and effectively extend the service life of steel structure.

Weathering steel generally adopts the process route of fine material into the furnace-smelting (converter, electric furnace-microalloying treatment-argon blowing-LF refining-low superheat continuous casting (feeding rare earth wire)-controlled rolling and cooling. The scrap steel is added into the furnace together with the charge, and smelted according to the conventional process. After the S275J2 carbon steel plate sheet steel is tapped, deoxidizers and alloys are added. After the molten steel is treated with argon blowing, the molten steel is cast. By adding rare earth elements to the steel, the S275J2 carbon steel plate sheet weathering steel is purified and the content of inclusions is greatly reduced.
