Since the cooling rate of normalizing is faster than that of annealing, the strength and hardness of normalized SA283 grade C carbon steel plate sheet are higher than that of annealed SA283 grade C carbon steel plate sheet, but the elimination of internal stress is not as good as annealing. The normalizing operation of SA283 grade C carbon steel plate sheet is simple, the cost is low, the productivity is high, and it is widely used in actual production.

Mechanical properties of 42SiMn steel: tensile strength 885 MPa; yield strength 735 MPa; elongation after fracture: 15; reduction of area: 40; impact energy: 47J. 42SiMn steel belongs to alloy quenched and tempered steel with good properties, high strength, wear resistance and hardenability. Under certain conditions, the strength, wear resistance and hot working performance of 42SiMn steel are better than 40Cr steel, SA283 grade C carbon steel plate sheet, and can be used instead of 40CrNi steel.
