The weldability of SA633 Gr C carbon steel plate sheet is good. It means that under certain process and construction conditions, SA633 Gr C carbon steel plate sheet can obtain good performance after welding. Weldability is a measure of the hot workability of steel. Weldability can be divided into weldability in construction and weldability in use. Weldability in construction refers to the sensitivity of cracking in weld metal and near seam zone, and hardening sensitivity of steel in near seam zone. Good weldability means that under certain welding process conditions, the weld metal and steel near the seam do not produce cracks. Weldability in use means that the mechanical properties of weld and HAZ steel are not lower than those of base metal.

Q215 steel has good plasticity and weldability. Q235 steel has certain strength, plasticity, toughness and weldability. Q235 steel is easy to punch and can meet the use of steel structure. Q255 steel has high strength, good plasticity and weldability, and its application is not as extensive as Q235 steel. Q275 steel has high strength, poor plasticity and weldability. Q275 steel is used for shafts, connecting rods, gears, keys and metal components with high strength requirements.

Tempering includes high temperature tempering, medium temperature tempering and low temperature tempering. Tempering means to reheat the SA633 Gr C carbon steel plate sheet quenched steel to a certain temperature and then cool it in a certain way. Tempering can reduce or eliminate the internal stress produced by quenching, reduce the hardness and strength, and improve the ductility or toughness of steel. After SA633 Gr C carbon steel plate sheet quenching, the workpiece should be tempered in time, and the required mechanical properties can be obtained through the combination of quenching and tempering.
